RetroNET's Rough Guide to HTML

by Ned Ludd

Introduction

Okay, this is going to be a real quick'n'dirty HTML primer, focusing on a minimal subset of the Hyper Text Mark-up Language... just enough to make boring little pages like this one. If you want to pimp your MySpace or pursue a career in web design you're in the wrong place.

I'm going to make the assumption that RetroNET users don't really need a lecture on why you should make your pages text-browser friendly, or the advantages of cutting out excessive code so your pages load fast on old, crippled machines. I'm also going to presume you know how to work a text editor like pico... if not, go look after that little detail first.
